The diagnosis is mixed. While my sputum (medical term for loogie, I believe) came back clean, the chest x-ray revealed a noticeable thickening starting in the esophagus and running into one of my lungs. This has developed in the last few months, as I had a chest x-ray in October or November of last year and everything came back clear. The doctor is referring me to a lung specialist to see what that may be about. He also took another sample from my sinuses, which can best be described as taking a small Q-Tip, putting it on a long wire and shoving it up there until it tickles the bottom of your frontal lobes, to see if the staph infection is still there. If not, obviously good; if still present he’ll have me do a CT scan to get a better look at what’s going on than is possible with an x-ray.
If y’all please keep praying I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
